DESCRIPTION
About: The Serbian Center plays a key role in promoting cultural and social events, with Savaball being their most notable gathering. Backyard Studios created a visually captivating motion graphics video that introduced the Center’s mission and premiered at Savaball, enhancing the event’s elegance and cultural significance.
Strategic Objective: The video aimed to tell the Serbian Center’s story through animation, emphasizing its values, evolution, and community connection. The storytelling arc, paired with dynamic visuals and seamless transitions, delivered a compelling and memorable viewing experience.
Visual Style: Inspired by the storyboard, the video followed a “Once upon a time” narrative, evolving into dynamic sequences where brand-colored circles floated and morphed into the Serbian Center’s logo. Seamless zoom transitions and soft, flowing movements reinforced the theme of continuous growth and connection, highlighting the organization’s core values and closing with a satisfying resolution.
Results: Premiering at Savaball, the video was well-received by attendees, effectively promoting the Serbian Center’s mission while adding a dynamic, storytelling-driven visual component to the event.

As part of the Serbian Center project, Backyard Studios created a custom mural for the airport gate serving flights to Vienna, promoting Savaball and celebrating Serbian cultural heritage. The artwork spans 8.05 x 3 meters and features detailed illustrations of renowned Serbian figures who lived in Vienna, including Vuk Karadžić, Mina Karadžić, Milutin Milanković, Petar Petrović Njegoš, Laza Kostić, Jova Jovanović Zmaj, Paja Jovanović, and Miloš Obrenović.
The concept behind the illustration was designed to be bold, unusual, and attention-grabbing, ensuring travelers passing through the gate would stop to take notice. The mural, illustrated by Lena from Agar Studios, is packed with intricate details that bring these historical figures to life while capturing the elegance of the Savaball event. This dynamic and engaging artwork successfully highlights the deep cultural ties between Serbia and Vienna, leaving a lasting impression on its viewers.
