About: The Analog Terrace, designed by Make It Simple Studio for Photo Cluster, blends architectural innovation with the nostalgic spirit of Kodak’s analog photography. The terrace features vibrant yellow perforated panels resembling film sprockets, sleek black structural frames, and rhythmic wooden slats inspired by film reels, creating a dynamic, tactile environment.
Strategic Objective: To develop a motion graphics video showcasing the terrace’s key architectural features and creative inspiration. The video aimed to visually communicate the terrace’s fusion of industrial design and nostalgic charm while promoting it as a creative and community-oriented space.
Results: The video brought the terrace’s architectural vision to life through dynamic transitions, exploded views, and light-focused animations. By emphasizing material contrasts and the interplay of light and shadow, the video enhanced the project’s promotional reach and solidified its role as a key creative landmark for Photo Cluster.

STORYBOARD
The Storyboard is built around three main story components: conflict, transformation, and resolution, creating a smooth and engaging narrative flow. The motion graphics video begins by introducing the terrace’s connection to Kodak’s analog legacy and the creative challenges of translating that inspiration into architecture. Through vibrant Kodak yellow, perforated panels resembling film sprockets, and rhythmic wooden slats inspired by film reels, the design unfolds visually. Exploded view animations deconstruct the terrace, revealing its layered materials and structural elements, while perspective text highlights key design details. Smooth transitions from animation to real renders emphasize the interplay of light, shadow, and texture.
